NELSON STATEMENT ON THE WITHDRAWAL OF HARRIET MIERS' NOMINATION

Nebraska's Senator Ben Nelson today issued the following statement in response to the withdrawal of Harriet Miers' nomination to the United States Supreme Court:

"Ms. Miers' nomination was troubled; I respect her decision to withdraw."
